“We were looking to formalize and document our environmental policy. We were recommended Matthew Allport of Compliance Council by Allan Hills, Chartered Accountants. Matthew helped us document our policy and came up with some great suggestions to further enhance it. He has a lot of experience and knowledge in this area and did a highly professional job in a very short span of time! We would definitely recommend Compliance Council to anyone looking to do what we needed.”
Since 1964, James Bennett Pty Ltd had been a leading supplier to libraries across the Australasian marketplace. Considered to be the library vendor of choice, the acquisition of Baker & Taylor – the world’s largest distributor of print, digital, and entertainment products – pushed James Bennett Pty Ltd to greater global success. James Bennett Pty Ltd specialises in all aspects of acquisitions and collection development, supplier-aided selection, and cataloguing and shelf-ready processing; supplying a wide range of products from books to multimedia to public and specialist libraries throughout Australasia.
Compliance Council reviewed existing tender submission draft and existing environmental documentation James Bennett Pty Ltd had in place. Compliance Council then conducted an assessment of the environmental aspects (interactions with the environment) and environmental impacts (results of the interactions) and prepared an Aspects and Impacts Register outlining the risk ratings, operational controls, and review mechanisms which cover the environmental initiatives and company best practice.
James Bennett Pty Ltd kicked off the project with Compliance Council in October 2015 with tender preparation assistance. No non-conformances were raised.
