For over 50 years (since 1964), Mulgoa Quarries have provided expert excavation services to clients across New South Wales. Over the years, Mulgoa Quarries has developed the services offered and diversified from clay and shale quarrying roots into all aspects of civil engineering. Today, the company specialise in major bulk earthworks, controlled filling, civil works and remediation projects. The company currently employs over 120 personnel, owns and operates more than 85 items of earthmoving equipment and 20 truck and trailer combinations of varying payloads.
With Mulgoa Quarries' ongoing growth and diversification of services, the need arose to establish a quality management system. To move into larger markets and service larger clients, it became a requirement to be certified to ISO 9001:2015.
The need to achieve this was supported by Senior Management as it was identified that in addition to making the business more competitive in the market, it would assist in supporting the company’s operations with its ongoing growth.

Following the success of prior support in achieving certification to safety (45001) and environmental (14001) standards, Mulgoa Quarries engaged Compliance Council to assist in developing a quality management system that would support the business growth.
Compliance Council worked directly with the staff to identify the company’s core services and operations. By working directly with the internal team, Compliance Council were able to create a Quality Management System that met the requirements of the standard, while accurately reflecting and supporting the company’s operations. Most importantly, enhancing the quality of outputs provided to Mulgoa Quarries' client base.
