ISO 45001 is the first international occupational health and safety standard. With the most recent update in 2018 – commonly referred to as ISO 45001 – this internationally recognised standard governs Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS).

The Technically Assured Organisation (TAO) Scheme was designed to ensure that the delivery of projects by consultants and contractors to Transport for NSW (TfNSW) are conducted to the standard that TfNSW expect and to ensure that the assets that TfNSW then operate and maintain meet the requirements of the organisation and other stakeholders.
